A hapless Super Eagles of Nigeria were a shadow of themselves, Friday, in Austria, as they were outplayed and outscored by the more purposeful Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
The Eagles’ wings were clipped 0-1 by the Lions in a match that further exposed the lack of creativity of the team’s technical adviser, Gernot Rohr.
The lustreless match was part of the build-up to the World Cup qualifiers starting in September.
The Gernot Rohr’s side were a pitiable sight during the encounter as they ran round the field aimlessly and were unable to hold the ball most of tthe time.
Paul Onuachu almost put the Super Eagles ahead in the third minute but punchy header was parried by Cameroon’s goalkeeper, Simon Omossola, who shone brightly throughout the match.
The Super Eagles have won only one of the eight friendly matches they have played so far.
