The Kaduna State Police Command announced, Wednesday night, that its operatives had rescued two of the abducted students of Bethel Baptist Secondary School in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
The command claimed to have rescued the students Wednesday evening in the Rijanna area on the Kaduna-Abuja highway.
The Command’s spokesman, Mohammed Jalige, told Channels Television that the two abducted students had been taken to a police medical facility and were undergoing medical examination.
Armed bandits had, on July 8, 2021, abducted 121 students of Bethel Baptist Secondary School from their hotels.
Earlier last week, the police had rescued one of the students inside a forest, bringing the number of those rescued to three.
The bandits have scaled down their demand to N60m as ransom for the kidnapped students.
