Less than 48 hours after 28 students of the abducted students of Bethel Baptist Secondary School, Kaduna, were rescued, four more have regained their freedom.

A report monitored on Channels Television quoted an unnamed top official as revealing that the four students escaped from their abductors in the forest, Sunday night.

These bring the total number of students so far rescued to 38 out of the 121 abducted by the bandits on July 5, 2021.

The bandits had, on July 5, at about 2a.m., broken into the Bethel Baptist Secondary School, Damishi, on the Kaduna-Kachia highway, in the Chikun Local Government Area of the state, and abducted the 121 students.

With these, 83 others are still being held by the kidnappers inside the forest, even as their parents and school management continue to pray for their safe return.

Recall that on Sunday, July 25, 28 of the abducted were found inside the Tsoho Gaya Forest in the Chikun Local Government Area of the state.

However, it is not clear whether the parents of the released students paid any ransom to the bandits or they were actually rescued by security operatives or the students just managed to escape.
