The Police Headquarters, Thursday, confirmed receipt of the indictment of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, by the Federal Bureau of Investigations, FBI.
International fraudster, Ramon Abbas, a.k.a Hushpuppi, had leveled a damaging allegation against the police officer, accusing him of complicity in the $1.1million scamming of a Qatari businessman.
A release by the Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Frank Mba, also a Commissioner of Police, said the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Alkali Usman Baba, had ordered an internal review of the allegation against, and indictment of Abba Kyari, promising to acquaint the public of further developments.

“Sequel to the receipt of allegation and indictment processes from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) against one of the personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, DCP Abba Kyari, the Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba psc (+), NPM, fdc has ordered an internal review of the allegations.
“The Nigeria Police Force reaffirms its commitment to the pursuit of justice and the strengthening of its professional relationship with the FBI and other international partners.
“Further developments on this case will be communicated to members of the public accordingly.”
