Abductors of Zamfara College Students, Staff Demand N350m Ransom
Abductors of students and staff of the College of Agriculture and Animal Science, Bakura in Zamfara State have demanded N350m ransom.
Provost of the College, Alhaji Habibu Mainasara said the bandits demanded that “they needed N350 million for the 20 people currently in their captivity.
“They said that the money must be paid before they could release the staff and the students they kidnapped in my school.”
He said a total of 20 people were abducted, including 15 students, 4 staff, and a driver.
The gunmen had stormed the institution around 11 pm on Sunday and kidnapped the students and staff of the college.
During the attack, the gunmen killed two watchmen and a police officer.
