Governor Hope Uzodinmaof Imo State has said the Indigenous People of Biafra’s sit-at-home order does not have a hold in his state.

Uzodinma spoke to State House Correspondents after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to the Governor, only a constituted authority, like his government can give order on when people can stay away from their work or businesses and they will obey.

He said it is because people in the State do not obey IPOB’s orders that normal activities have continued to flourish in Imo.

“IPOB is not a government in Imo state and cannot order people to sit at home,” he said, adding that people who depend on their businesses to make their daily bread cannot afford to stay at home.

The Governor pointed out the State has become the most peaceful to the point that Grade A football matches take place there at night with nobody molested.

The Governor admonished Nigerians to refrain from acts that can cause instability, saying they should not take laws into their hands even when aggrieved.
