Ms. Eunice Damisa, a Deputy Director at the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Abuja, also Deputy Incident Manager with the National Polio Emergency Operations Centre, shared the great news through whatsapp on Monday.
While inviting Nigerians to join her organisation to celebrate the epoch, Ms. Damisa said: “It is pertinent to say that Nigeria’s battle with wild polio virus has been a long and arduous one.
“After almost three decades of extraordinary efforts and investments, the country has achieved this historic milestone, which is an incredible public health achievement for Nigeria. I have been involved in this battle for two decades now.
“Please Join me and the rest of Nigerians to witness this epoch making event at 4pm today via this link: http://www.africakicksoutwildpolio.com.”
