Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola , has thrown his weight behind the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the May 25, 2023 election.
Otedola on Tuesday, shared an image of himself with Tinubu after a visit in France.
Otedola on his social media handle, twitter, wrote: “I am always excited visiting my Great Friend Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu @officialABAT“.
Otedola becomes the first businessman to publicly declare his allegiance for a Presidential candidate.
“May God grant him his heart’s desire in becoming the President of this great Nation,” he prays.
Otedola who only recently invested in power generation as part of the liberalisation of the sector in Nigeria has been a long time friend and associate of the APC Candidate. Currently, as at October 2021, he was announced as the single largest shareholder (5.07%) of First bank PLC.
Meanwhile, the visit comes a few hours after the governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun visited the presidential hopeful on Monday.
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asíwájú Bola Ahmed Tinubu, jetted out to France as part of his ongoing consultative visits ahead of next year’s presidential election.
