A day after Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, held a massive rally to mobilise support for his 2023 presidential ambition, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arrived Lagos Friday night.

Tinubu landed in Nigeria after a three-month medical sojourn in London during which he had a knee replacement surgery.

Sanwo-Olu and some party bigwigs received the APC leader upon arrival at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.

During his three-month stay in the United Kingdom, his London home became a Mecca of a sort as party stalwarts, including President Muhammadu Buhari and some governors, took turns to visit and wish him well.

Only last week, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmed Wase, led House some members from the North to visit the recuperating APC chieftain in the British capital. They endorsed his candidacy for the 2023 presidency, saying he was eminently qualified for the top job.

Though Tinubu has not publicly declared his presidential ambition, Sanwo-Olu birthed a political movement, Thursday, tagged SWAGA ’23, to garner nationwide support for the former Lagos State Governor’s 2023 presidential election.
