The Ikale Heritage Development Association, IHDA, has joined millions of President Muhammadu Buhari’s lovers all over the world in celebrating his 80th birthday today.
Chairman of the IHDA, Otunba Sola Olatunji in a message signed by him describes the President as a God-given asset to Nigeria and mankind adding that he has started the real process of nation building since he assumed office on May 29, 2015.
Olatunji said: “Mr President, you were here at a time as the military head of State, having served variously as a military administrator, Minister of Petroleum, then military head of state of the Federal Republic of Nigeria before proceeding to serve as the Chairman , Petroleum Trust Fund and now the current president of the Nigeria, as a converted Democrat.
“Mr President, in all of these positions, you have shown patriotism, integrity and art of statesmanship in piloting the affairs and responsibility your offices demand of you at different occasions.
“As you rounf up your tenure as a democratic president having served your mandatory two terms in office with a promise to conduct the most credible election in the history of our democratic journey, members of the Ikale Heritage Development Association both home and abroad, celebrate with you, your lovely family and your loved ones in Nigeria and across the world as you mark your 80th birthday.
“We wish you many more years of fruitfulness and service to humanity. Happy birthday to you, Mr President.”
Other Nigerians including former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Senate President , All Progressive Congress standard bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and host of others have also paid tribute to the President at 80. Asiwaju Tinubu hails the president for his commitment to nation building and long years of patriotic service to country while Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says “Your extraordinary life of unblemished service to the nation in the army, as a Governor, Minister, Military Head of State and as two-term Civilian President demonstrates that it is possible to serve the nation and our people honestly, forthrightly and selflessly.
The director-general, Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Ilorin, Comrade Issa Aremu, says President Muhammadu Buhari is the most labour-friendly President the country has ever produced.
