Bulldozers Roar as Niger Demolishes Kidnapper’s Home
…We did it to serve as deterrent to other criminals, says Government
Even if it appears tokenish, justice may have somewhat been served to a confessed notorious kidnapper in Niger State as his property was reduced to rubble by bulldozers on the order of the Niger State Government.
The property, a two-bedroom flat with an uncompleted two-bedroom extension, located in the Nkangbe community in Bosso Local Government Area of the state was brought down Friday night.
The suspected kidnapper, according to The Nation, was said to have confessed that the property were proceeds of crime. .
Mr. Emmanuel Umar, the state Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Internal Security, said the government ordered the demolition to serve as a deterrent to other criminals or criminally-minded persons in the state.
