Visa Ban Threat: Fani-Kayode hits British envoy again! Demands his Recall

...Says the top diplomat should be serving tea on British Airways

Like a bull in a China shop, he is bullish, uncouth, dangerously incompetent and painfully inconsiderate.

He is better suited to work as an air host/hostess on British Airways, serving drinks and food to the passengers in the economy class of the long haul London/New York trans-Atlantic flight route, than working for the British High Commission in Nigeria.

Controversial former Minister of Aviation, and Director, New Media, the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Tuesday, demanded the recall of the Deputy British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Ben Llewellyn-Jones, for alleged interference in Nigeria’s domestic affairs, especially politics.

Specifically, Fani-Kayode demanded the removal of the envoy for his scathing criticism of some Nigerians, including Fani-Kayode, for utterances that can scuttle Nigeria’s democracy, indicating that some 10 persons were already under visa ban for the same reason. And more may suffer the same fate

Llewellyn-Jones, who made the alleged comment in the wake of the governorship election in Lagos, said that the All Progressives Congress ought to have distanced itself from the former Minister’s comments during the elections.

Fani-Kayode, who had earlier rebuffed the envoy’s veiled threat, ook to his Twitter account again on Tuesday and demanded that Britain should recall the envoy, stressing that the diplomat was not qualified to work for the British High Commission in Nigeria.

Fani-Kayode declared in the tweet: “I call on the British Govt. to recall Ben Llewellyn-Jones, the Dep. British High Commissioner, from our country for interfering in our internal affairs and attempting to involve himself in our politics.”

“Like a bull in a China shop, he is bullish, uncouth, dangerously incompetent and painfully inconsiderate.

“He is better suited to work as an air host/hostess on British Airways, serving drinks and food to the passengers in the economy class of the long haul London/New York trans-Atlantic flight route, than working for the British High Commission in Nigeria.

“It is a sign of great disrespect to our country that a so-called diplomat that is as shallow, partisan, unprofessional, partial, arrogant, forward, disrespectful …as this can be sent here to represent the UK.

“We deserve far better.“
