IHDA to Organize Free Health Treatment for Ikales in Lagos

A socio-cultural group under the auspices of Ikale Heritage Development Association, IHDA, is set to  organize free health advocacy and medical treatment for all the Ikale people living in Lagos State.

The Chairman of the group, Otunba Sola Olatunji expressed worries over the sudden increase of deaths recorded recently insisting that the scourge must be halted by creating effective health awareness and treatment for the people.

According to the chairman, the event will take place in February after due consultation with the medical consultant hired for the purpose..

Olatunji said: “The event will be graced by notable leaders of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Lagos State. Same idea will be replicated in other parts of South West and Abuja where Ikale people are concentrated in Nigeria.

“The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu even commended the move saying other ethnic groups in the state need to emulate the IHDA. He appreciates our efforts.” Olatunji also appeals to the Ikale people to take the 2023 elections seriously by mobilizing and sensitizing voters to register and ensure they have their PVC.

“IHDA leadership have intensified  voters registration campaign efforts across the 20 Local Government and 37 ( LCDA) Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State,” he said.
