Davido To Step Out Big In Qatar as Organisers List Him for Closing Ceremony
After the cloud of the tragic loss of his son, Ifeanyi, Afrobeat superstar, Davido, will step out on the global stage in Qatar to thrill millions of football enthusiasts around the world with his scintillating music.
The Nigerian superstar is among world stars the organizing committee of the ongoing FIFA World Cup has listed to perform live at the closing ceremony on Sunday, December 18, 2022.
Chinese businessman, Stephen Hung, broke the big news via his Instagram handle, declaring that the billionaire singer has confirmed that he will be performing at the closing event.
“So happy my bro #davido confirmed he will be performing at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony. Can’t wait to see him there,” Hung wrote.
The closing ceremony performance by Davido would be the first stage performance since his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, drowned in the family’s swimming pool on October 31, 2022.
Earlier, Davido, alongside Trinidad Cardona and Aisha, had featured on the Qatar 2022 World Cup theme song titled Better together .
The multiple awards winner will be joining the ‘Buga’ crooner, Kizz Daniel and Patoranking as Nigerian artistes to grace different stages for performance at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
