2023: Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege Declares Interest in Delta Guber Race

The Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has declared his intention to contest for the gubernatorial seat in Delta State in.

Omo-Agege, the senator representing Delta Central senatorial district in the National Assembly, made his intention known to a mammoth crowd of All Progressives Congress, (APC) leaders, members, supporters on Thursday at the arena of the Federal University Of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), Effurun.
He accused Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of marginalising the people of Ndokwa, Isoko and Ijaw nations.
Addressing the mammoth crowd of APC leaders, members, supporters and stakeholders, Omo-Agege reeled out his stewardship saying that he had decided to step out of his comfort zone to contest for the 2023 governorship election so as to extend his good works to the state.
The Deputy Senate President, who accused the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration of spending over N2billion on a monthly basis on aides who did nothing, described Okowa’s government “as a big waste and fraud, boasting that the APC as a party is fully prepared to take over the state from the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).”
