The Department of State Services, DSS, has nabbed top Yobe State Government officials for trying to sell educational materials donated to the Yobe State Universal Basic Education Board.
According to reports, the educational materials were donated by Victim Support Fund to be distributed to various schools in the state to boost the pupils’ learning capacity.
However, the officials had a plan of their own.
As fate would have it, while a trailer conveying the materials, was emptied to another truck brought by the buyers at the outskirts of the state capital, Damaturu, the DSS jumped on them.
The DSS impounded the truck arresting the perpetrators at the spot.
The materials included textbooks, teaching aids useful for primary schools in Yobe State.
