NFF Factional President, Chris Giwa Wins APC Plateau North Senatorial Ticket

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, factional president, Ambassador Chris Giwa has clinched the senatorial ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for Plateau North.

Giwa polled 213 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Hon. Mafeng Gwalson who scored 150 votes.

The third aspirant, Hon. Lumumba Dah Adeh withdrew before the commencement of the exercise.

Chairman of the Electoral Panel, Hon. Musa Gidado, declared the result and urged the aspirants to work together to ensure that they win the general election.

Giwa thanked all stakeholders and delegates for their support and assured he will carry all to ensure that the party emerges victorious in 2023.

Gwalson promised to collapse his structure for the winner and make sure he delivers at the general poll.

Chris Giwa got elected as the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, President on August 26, 2014 but was dislodged by the Pinnick  Amaju-led board  after another election was held in Warri, Delta State. Even with several court rulings in his favour, Giwa has held on to his mandate hoping that he would get justice one day.
