In a message signed by the Chairman of IHDA, Otunba Sola Olatunji, the group urges Ibrahim to
take this victory as ‘for all’ in the South Senatorial district, Ondo State and Nigeria especially Ikale nation where he comes from and work hard by extending olive branch to his competitors.
“Reconcile with aggrieved members of your party who may have one issues or the other with the party,” Olatunji said in the message. ”Be at the forefront of reconciliation across the communities within your district and market your programmes to the grassroots.
“We saw the strategy you deployed into this race so don’t take for granted the general elections when you will be squaring it up with the candidate of PDP..
“Once again, accept our deepest congratulations on your electoral victory and wishing you many more victories in future elections.”.
Ibrahim thanked God for his victory at the primary. He also thanked Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and his wife, Betty Anyawu-Akeredolu, for their unflinching support.
“I dedicate this victory to God Almighty, mankind, and Governor Akeredolu, a hegemon of politics in Ondo State.” Ibrahim said after the victory.
