Ekiti Guber Poll: Oni Orders SDP Members, Supporters to Wear all White

Twenty-four hours to the crucial Ekiti State gubernatorial election, the campaign organization of former governor Segun Oni and gubernatorial flag bearer of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, has directed all members of the party and his supporters to wear all white apparallel today, Friday, June 17, 2022.

The all-white order, the campaign said, was to let their opponents know that the candidate and his supporters had come in peace and for peace. More significantly, the campaign said the all-white attire symbolizes Ekiti liberation.

Here is the press statement by the campaign:

His Excellency, Engineer Segun Oni, has directed that all members of the SDP and lovers of Ekiti all over Nigeria and the world Ekiti should wear white dress tomorrow to mark Ekiti Liberation. All those who are coming to the Ekiti State Pavilion for the final rally of the SDP tomorrow at 10 a.m Thursday June 16, 2022, should be in WHITE DRESSES to symbolise that our struggle is pure and we have come in peace.  God bless Ekiti.  Your liberation is at hand come SaturdayJune 18, 2022!
