IHDA Greets Muslims at Eid el Kabir

A socio-cultural group, Ikale Heritage Development Association, IHDA, has sent warm greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and all over the world.as they celebrate Eid de Kabir  in  accordance to Islamic injunction.

Chairman of the group, Otunba Sola Olatunji, in his message enjoins Muslims in Nigeria to use the occasion to have sober reflection on the state of the nation. Sallah or Eid-el- Kabir, he says, is a holy month in Islam, one in which Muslims perform the Ḥajj (Holy Pilgrimage) as well as observe the Festival of Sacrifice.

He is of the view that since Prophet Mohammed was a lover of peace, all Muslims faithful should imbibe this philosophy and make sacrifice that will aid peace, love and brotherliness in Nigeria and all over the world, irrespective of their faith..

Olatunji said: “Our warmest wishes to all Muslims on this solemn festival of Eid. May the blessing of Allah fill your lives with peace, joy and good health. Barka Da Sallah!

“This is a holy month and period to rededicate our lives, pray for family, community and Nigeria.

The chairman used the occasion to remind Nigerians of the critical moment in Nigeria’s evolution as we prepare for the 2023 general elections stressing that all citizens of this country who have attained 18 years of age and above should endeavour to get their  PVC to enable us participate in the general elections in 2023.

“We are also appealing to our brothers and sisters of all faiths that politics is different from religion,” he said. “Religion and politics don’t go together, so we should allow the political class to do what they know how to do best so that we can have a better society for the benefit of all.

“The idea of Muslim -Muslim or Christian-Christian shouldn’t be our priority in 2023. Our worries should be the person that has done something before and we can see it with our eyes. It’s the track records of successes in the past and capacity of the person and not his faith that should be appealing to our social consciousness.

“Nigeria does not have time for experimental president because we are in a hurry for positive change!.”
