A socio-cultural group, the Ikale Heritage Development Association, IHDA, has congratulated Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress standard bearer in the Presidential election of last Saturday.
The IHDA, through its chairman, Otunba Sola Olatunji in a special message to the winner and the APC describes Tinubu as an asset to Nigeria stressing that the former Lagos State governor will stun Nigerians with a monumental breakthrough that will place Nigeria in a conspicuous place globally.
“Tinubu is a child of destiny and Nigerians will not regret putting the future of the country in his hands,” Olatunji said in the message. “He is an achiever and Nigerians can trust him to revolutionise the country’s economy.”
Olatunji appeals to Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Peter Obi of the Labour Party to accept the outcome of the election like good sportsmen.
He said;” Election defeat is not the end of the world as there is always another day. Atiku and Obi should accept defeat in the interest of Nigerians.
“I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his election as the next President of Nigeria.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Tinubu winner of Saturday’s presidential election.
Tinubu secured a total of 8,794,726 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) finished in second place with 6,984,520 votes. Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) came third with 6,101,533 votes.
