In a special message to the winner, chairman of the socio-cultural group, Otunba Sola Olatunji said Jimoh Ibrahim as a worthy son of Ikaleland deserves the victory having laboured relentlessly for it.
“The Southern Senatorial Zone can be sure of quality representation in the Senate with Jimoh Ibrahim, Olatunji said. “ We are lucky to have a knowledgeable person in the Senate at this critical time in the Southern zone where the people have been in darkness in the last 14 years and all industries in the area are completely dead.
“I’m convinced that Ibrahim will make the difference as he has to work his fingers to the bones. He needs to work hard and break the no second term jinx in the area. He must give the people that voted for him and those who didn’t the dividends of democracy
“Where possible, he can go back to his bursary and scholarship regime for students of the zone who are in higher institution of learning.”
Otunji calls on every citizen in the Southern zone to cooperate with Ibrahim and offer tangible advice on how to develop the backward zone.
