The Kano State Government has dedicated a brand new 40-bed clinic to the mother of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu.
The facility, located at the Hotoro Ward of Nasarawa Local Government Area of the State and being inaugurated today, Sunday, May 28, 2023, was constructed by the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs Office in the Presidency. It would be presented for take-over by the Abdullahi Ganduje Administration today.
The naming of the hospital is a big icing on the cake of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, who has also been honoured by his principal, President Muhammadu Buhari, with the National Honour of the Officer of the Order of the Niger, OON.
Shehu is among 338 eminent Nigerians specially honored for their meritorious service to the nation.
The facility, according to the SDGs Office, was conceived with the aim of boosting healthcare delivery, especially for women and children, through the provision of modern medical infrastructure.
The brand new new 40-bed clinic will be inaugurated by the Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, whose administration has also promptly agreed to take it over, in adddition to name it Fatima Shehu Maimota Clinic in honour of Garba Shehu’s mother, .
The commissioning ceremony will take place at 2:00pm.
