Silver Nights Elect Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi as 21st Club Chief
The Silver Nights Club, a cosmopolitan social club in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, last weekend, held its 539th annual general meeting in Jericho, where it elected High Chief Yinka Fasuyi, the Asiwaju of Ijesaland, and President of Ibadan Business School, as its 21st Club Chief.
This was revealed in a press statement issued by David Femi-Michael, Media Administrator, Silver Knights, Ibadan.
Established 40 years ago in Ibadan, Silver Knights Club parades high net-worth professionals, academics, and business turks with wide networks in the political, social, and economic fabrics of Ibadan metropolis in particular and Nigeria in general.
Silver Knights Club has, over the years, become strongly and admirably noted as a family Club where the esteemed wives of members, also known as DAMSELS, play significant roles in its values and operations.
According to the press statement, the Club’s annual general meeting was hosted by SK Dr. Yomi Layinka, a former Club Chief, and Chairman of Media Strategies Nigeria Limited.
The meeting marked the end of the remarkable tenure of SK Engr Bolaji Tubi, the immediate past Club Chief and Chief Executive Officer of Quofadrigga Nigeria Limited.
In his acceptance speech after the keenly contested election, the Chairman of Supreme Management Consultants Nigeria Limited and Silver Knights new Club Chief, SK Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, presented his administration’s blueprint where he meticulously highlighted the various reforms and intervention programmes that he and his team will embark upon to further reposition and strengthen the core values of the 40-year-old Club.
Also elected into the new Executive Committee to be led by SK Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi are: SK Engr Busayo Aluko, Chairman/CEO Duke & Duchess Group as General Secretary; Chief Babajide Olatunde-Agbeja, Chairman, BOFF & Company Insurance Brokers Limited, as Treasurer; and SK Engr Ladi Salako, Managing Director, Comfort Coatings Nigeria Limited, as Social Secretary.
