Buhari Steps Out With His Face Mask
Amid spiking COVID-19 infections and morbidity in the country and across the world, President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, put action to his words that COVID-19 is no joke by wearing his face mask.
The President donned a befitting white face mask as he touched down in Bamako, capital of Mali, for a one-day peace mission to resolve the roiling political crisis in the West African country.
Apart from showing leadership in the fight against coronavirus back home, Buhari, in the mask, sent the message that fighting the deadly virus that has killed 813 in Nigeria and 625,000 worldwide (as at Thursday, July 23, 2020) is not monkey business. It is serious business. And everybody must wear a mask to protect themselves and others, regardless of social status.
