Jonathan, PDP and APC Leaders to Gather for Cairo Ojuogboh
Former President Goodluck Johathan will be among the top dignitaries expected at the night of tribute for the late Dr. Cairo Ojuogboh.
Ojougboh, a great nationalist and former member of the House of Representatives, died on February 8, 2024, while watching the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-final encounter between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
Ojougboh, 64, until his sudden death the Akinuwa of Agbor in Delta State, will be remembered as a patriotic Nigerian and a great family man.
‘He was never too busy for family. He thought us to live, love deeply and cherish relationships,” one of his friends, and former Governor of Borno State, AlhajiAli Modu Sheriff, wrote in a release announcing the event. “Dr Ojougboh was an accomplished politician and a philanthropist.”
The night of tribute will hold in Abuja on Sunday, April 14 , 2024, at the A-Class Event Centre, Plot 102, Kashim Ibrahim Way, Maitama, Abuja, from 4p.m.
Other special guests expected at the event are: Governors of the South South region, political leaders from both the PDP and the ruling APC, elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark, former Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Ali Modu Sheriff, among others.
