President Bola Tinubu has expressed shock at the passing, Tuesday, of veteran journalist, Kabir Yusuf, who, until his death, covered the State House, Abuja, for many years.
In a statement, the Special Adviser to the President o Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, said: “President Bola Tinubu extends his condolences to the family of Mr. Kabir Yusuf, who passed away on Tuesday.”
Popularly called “Kabir Sokoto” by his friends and colleagues, Yusuf, a veteran journalist, was said to have returned to the country few days ago after performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Yusuf was the Federal Capital Territory correspondent for The Triumph Newspaper and Radio France Internationale Hausa service.
“The President prays for the repose of the soul of the departed and comfort to his family in this time of grief and always,” said Ngelale.
