Nigerians, especially in the diaspora, got a huge boost early Friday as Nigerian-born British politician, Chi Onwurah, won re-election into the British Parliament on the platform of the all-conquering Labour Party.
Onwurah, a 1987 Electrical Engineering graduate of the prestigious Imperial College, London, dusted her challengers with a massive 18, 875 votes to retain her seat as Labour MP for Newcastle Central and West.
Born to a Nigerian father from Anambra State, the prodigious politician has promised to reward the trust of the British public with distinguished service and honest hard work all aimed at giving them back their future.
