…And Tinubu Mourns

President Bola Tinubu, Wednesday, joined Nigerians, indeed, the National Assembly, in mourning a Principal Officer of the House of Representatives, Hon. Olaide Akinremi, who passed away earlier Wednesday morning from an undisclosed ailment.

Until his sudden death at 51, Hon. Akinremi was lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House.

A statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, said Tinubu “extends his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Honourable Olaide Akinremi, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.”

The late Akinremi was a two-term lawmaker and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Ngelale, President Tinubu “also commiserates with members of the National Assembly, friends, and associates of the deceased over this profound loss.

“The President prays for the repose of the soul of the departed and strength to his family at this difficult time.”
