Barely 24 hours after the United Arab Emirates, UAE, lifted a two-year-old visa ban on Nigerians, the Federal Government, Tuesday, brought home 190 Nigerians from Dubai.
The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, led a combined team of government officials, to oversee the repatriation process.
Upon arrival, all the 190 returnees were scrupulously profiled and documented by the relevant agencies who sensitised them on the need to maintain decorum and behave responsibility as they reintegrate into the Nigerian society.
The Zonal Director of NEMA North Central, Mr. Bashir Idris Garga, in a statement, underscored the government’s expectations from the returnees, declaring: “The Federal Government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country, upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency, and integrity.”
