Kidnappers, Friday, abducted the Anambra State Commissioner for Youths Development, Patrick Aghamba, and his wife, on their way to Abuja for thee wedding ceremony of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s daughter.
A report by Channels Television said they were kidnapped somewhere in Kogi State but the exact location has not been ascertained.
Channels Television said sources disclosed that an aide of the commissioner, whose name was given as Kpajie ABK Offiah, an Onitsha youth and a stalwart of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), who was travelling with them, was shot dead by the kidnappers.
Chief Press Secretary to Governor Soludo, Christian Aburime, who confirmed the incident said the government was yet to find out the exact location where the abduction took place as some people said it took place in Ubiaja, Edo State, while others claimed it was Kogi State.
Aghamba was one of the 20 commissioners appointed by Governor Soludo in 2022.
