The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, is rearing for war as its President, Joe Ajaero reports to the Force Headquarters in Abuja, Thursday, August 29, 2024, where he is expected to be grilled by operatives for alleged terrorism.

And amid the suspicion that the police might arrest him on the allegation, the NLC has directed all state chapters and affiliate members across the country, including the Federal Capital Territory, to mobilise in solidarity with Ajaero.

Channels Television said the Emmanuel Ugboaja, NLC’s General Secretary, confirmed the directive to its correspondent.

Ugboaja, the station further reported, said that the directive also instructed members across the states to mobilise and embark on a peaceful procession to their respective state police commands and stay there till Ajaero emerges the Force Headquarters.

The NLC General Secretary also hinted that Ajaero will be accompanied to the police investigation by some leaders of the Abuja chapter of the NLC.

It would be recalled that the police had, last week, invited Ajaero for interrogation over allegations of terrorism financing, treasonable felony and cyber crime.

But the NLC, through its legal adviser, sought a new date to honour the invitation.
