Celebration of Oba Aromolaran’s Life to Hold on November 23

The Aromolaran Royal Family, in conjunction with the Ijesa Traditional Council, have fixed Saturday, November 23, 2024, for the grand celebration of the life and times of the departed Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II.

The event, expected to attract the prime movers of events in Nigeria and the diaspora, will hold at both the Methodist Cathedral, Otapete, Ilesa, and Zenababs Half Moon Resort, Ijebu-Jesa Road, Ilesa.

According to the royal invitation card issued by the Family, the historic event will start with a church service at 10 a.m. at the Methodist Cathedral while guests would be treated to a festival-like reception at  the Zenababs Half Moon Resort from 2p.m.

The Owa joined his ancestors on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, after battling and undisclosed ailment for some time. Oba Dr. Adekunle Aromolaran was 86 when he went the way of all flesh.
