President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to Abuja, Saturday, October 19, 2024, after a two-week vacation in the United Kingdom, and France.
The President’s plane landed at the Presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 7.20 p.m. on Saturday.
He was received on arrival by (right to left) Abubakar Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning; Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser; Wale Edun, the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance; Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State; and Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Crest recalls that the President departed Abuja for London on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, with the Special Adviser, Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, informing Nigerians, via a statement, that he (the President) was going away on a two-week “working leave”.
“President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja today for the United Kingdom to begin a two-week vacation, part of his yearly leave,” Onanuga had announced through the statement.
“He will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms.
“He will return to the country after the leave expires.”
But on Friday, October 11, 2024, his Senior Special Assistant on Political and Other Matters, Ibrahim Masari, announced on X that President Tinubu had left the United Kingdom for Paris, France an “important engagement.”
Masari didn’t disclose the exact nature of the “engagement”.
