Reports say that the Nigerian Immigration Service, Seme Border Command, may have arrested the controversial crossdresser and lifestyle influencer, Idris Okuneye, a.k.a Bobrisky, at the Seme Border while allegedly attempting to flee Nigeria for Benin Republic.
This was revealed by another controversial social critic, Verydarkman (real names: Martins Vincent Otse), who wrote on Instagram that Bobrisky was nabbed by Nigerian immigration officers as he attempted to escape to neighbouring Benin Republic in an apparent bid avoid the ongoing investigation by the House of Representatives into weight allegations he levelled against the EFCC and the Nigerian Correctional Service while serving time in jail for naira abuse.
In the Instagram post, Verydarkman wrote, “Bobrisky has been Arrzt€d this morning at the seme border while trying to enter BENIN REPUBLIC to escape the current investigation by the house of reps, he is allegedly being held be the Nigeria immigration…MAKE WE WAIT FOR BOB TO DEBUNK Cho Cho Cho.”
The Crest has not been able to independently confirm the alleged arrest of the controversial crossdresser.
But The Crest recalls that Bobrisky has blatantly refused to honour an invitation by the House of Representatives committee scrutinizing leaked viral videos where he sensationally revealed that he, with the help of his God-father, bribed some yet-to-be-named operatives of the EFCC to serve his term outside prison and have the money laundering charge slammed against him dropped.
The dust generated by the serious allegations is far from settling as angry Nigerians continue to demand painstaking investigation into the matter with a view to establishing the truth.
Since the allegation by Bobrisky, the image of the EFCC as a diligent anti-corruption organization has taken serious hit by a wide spectrum of Nigerian opinion leaders who thought the anti-graft agency is, itself, a cesspool of corruption. They are asking that the swamp be drained.
