Ondo Guber: Aiyedatiwa Declares Friday Public Holiday
Ahead the Saturday’s Governorship election, the Ondo State Government has declared Friday, November 15, 2024, a public holiday for public servants in the state.
This was revealed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Head of Service, F. Ayodele. titled, Declaration of Friday, November 15, 2024, as work-free day in Ondo State.
According to Ayo dele, the work-free day is to enable public servants in the state to travel to their various communities to exercise their civic responsibility.
The 2024 Governorship Election in Ondo State has been scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission to be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
“To this end, the Ondo State Government has declared Friday, November 15, 2024, as Work-Free Day for Public Servants in the State to enable them to travel to their various communities to exercise their civic responsibilities,” it partly read.
It further directed that “All Accounting Officers are to note the content of this circular and disseminate same to all staff of their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies.”
