Good News: Port Harcourt Refinery now Working-NNPCL
After many years in the limbo, and billions (if not trillions) of naira after, the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC) Limited in Rivers State has commenced crude oil processing. And this is official.
The Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the Nigerian National Petroluem Company Limited (NNPCL), Femi Soneye, broke the good news via a press statement he issued in Abuja on Tuesday..
“Today marks a monumental achievement for Nigeria as the Port Harcourt Refinery officially commences crude oil processing,” Soneye said. “This groundbreaking milestone signifies a new era of energy independence and economic growth for our nation.”
Soneye, then, proceeded to felicitate with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the epoch.
“Hearty congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the NNPC Board, and the exceptional leadership of GCEO Mele Kyari for their unwavering commitment to this transformative project. Together, we are reshaping Nigeria’s energy future!”, Soneye wrote.
Revealing that truck loading will commence on Tuesday (today), he added that the NNPCL is “working tirelessly to bring the Warri Refinery back online soon”.
