In a poetic tribute to Barrister Sebastian Townsend Ukegheson, international lawyer and great enthusiast of The Crestng Online news medium,  who is being buried in London tomorrow, his foster daughter, Ofure Ojefua, has recalled how, even in the throes of death, the great man refused to be separated from his love for nature.

Barrister Ukegheson was deeply in love with nature and beautiful environments, Ms. Ojefua revealed.

“He was always going on walks and sharing videos of flower gardens, beautiful structures, water fountains and parks,” she continued. “He talked about how peaceful he felt in such environments.

“He always had flowers in every room in his home and talked about how they cheered him up. When his illness prevented him from being able to go on his walks, he would refuse me closing his curtains so he could watch the sun rise and set.”

Ojefua summed up the whole story and appealed to those who would be attending the funeral tomorrow to “honour his love for flowers, beauty and positivity” by adding a “touch of a flower to your outfit for the day. This can be interpreted anyway you prefer (e.g. a  pin, brooch, cufflinks, or item of clothing with floral pattern).”

Below is the partially edited text of Ojefua’s tribute to her foster dad in the form of a letter to those coming to pay their last respects to Barrister Ukegheson:

Dear Sirs and Ma’ams,

If you had been a frequent viewer of his social media content, you may have observed that he had a deep love and appreciation for nature and beautiful environments. He was always going on walks and sharing videos of flower gardens, beautiful structures, water fountains and parks. He talked about how peaceful he felt in such environments.

He always had flowers in every room in his home and talked about how they cheered him up. When his illness prevented him from being able to go on his walks, he would refuse me closing his curtains so he could watch the sun rise and set.

You may also have observed his love for sharing jokes, inspirational quotes, bible passages and motivational posts, a lot of which he wrote from his sick bed. He had a positive spirit and always encouraged us never to let darkness overcome our light.

It is, therefore, fitting that we honour his love for flowers, beauty and positivity and his dislike for darkness and gloominess. To this end, *we request you to add a “touch of a flower” to your outfit for the day*. This can be interpreted anyway you prefer (e.g. a  pin, brooch, cufflink or item of clothing with floral pattern).

Please continue to pray for eternal repose of his soul. God bless you.

Ofure Ojefua (Foster Daughter)
