Werepe is substance well-known by the Yorubas, which when blown or thrown at an individual causes extreme irritating sensation that provokes a desire to scratch the skin/
This was revealed by Professor Chidi Odinkalu a senior team manager for the Africa Program of the Open Society Justice Initiative, and one of the accredited observers for the elections revealed this while responding to questions on a monitored television programme.
However, the former chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, who expressed dissatisfaction with the logistics said a lot still needed to be done about improving the country’s electoral process.
