The Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona has declared that the dislike for the people of Ijebu extraction by Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State is too glaring.
Speaking at a special lecture organised to celebrate his 85th birthday at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State weekend the Ijebu paramount ruler said, “Amosun does not like Ijebu people, but he is my friend. He loves me and he is close to me.
“But when you claim to love me and hate my people, automatically you hate me. I must thank Gov. Amosun because he stood by me, but that is not enough.
“For you to have thrown stones at an Ijebu person, you have thrown stones at me”, Awujale declared in Yoruba dialect.
