It took the Super Eagles of Nigeria 73 minutes to over-power a determined Syli Nationale of Guinea side in their second match of the ongoing Nations Cup in Egypt. Towering defender Keneth Omeruo headed home the winner to give Nigeria 6points in Group B.
The Eagles are through to the knockout stages thus becoming the first team to qualify for the round of 16 in African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2019 in Egypt.
With two wins out of three, Nigeria sits atop group B with six points.
After breezing past Burundi in their opening game, Gernot Rohr’s men were more relaxed and absorbed all the pressure from Guinea who needed a victory to brighten a chance of moving to the second round after a draw in their first game..
