COVID-19: Minister Donates 5,000 Face Masks
The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, has donated 5,000 pieces of face masks to Oyo State Government to help fight the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Dare said the donations would help to support the government’s efforts in fighting the novel virus.
The minister, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Media, John Joshua-Akanji, made the donation on Tuesday at the Oyo State Liaison office in Abuja.
“We would not relent until this battle is won.
“This is my token contribution and I believe it would go a long way to complement the governor’s efforts.
”We shall continue to lend our support in whatever way we can until this virus is completely defeated,” Dare said.
The Principal Administrative Officer at the Oyo State Liaison Office, Abuja, Mrs Ladipo Jumoke, receiving the donations on behalf of the governor, thanked the minister for the kind act.
“We sincerely appreciate his gesture and assure him that it would get to all the Local Government Areas in the state to prevent the spread of the virus.
”I assure the minister that the masks would be put to good use,” she said.
