Kaduna Train Terror Attack: Terrorists Make First Contact with Victims’ Families
There were reports, Thursday, that the blood-thirsty terrorists that stormed the Abuja-Kaduna train service, Monday night, killing eight people, injuring many and abducting several, may have contacted the families of those in their captivity.
A report said the terrorists called some relatives of the victims, Wednesday, and assured them that their loved ones were safe but they should get ready for their ransom.
Daily Post quoted one Musa Abilewa, described as a family member of one of the abducted passengers of the ill-fated train, kidnapped victims, who claimed that the terrorists spoke with him, assuring him his brother was fine and that he should prepare for their ransom dmand.
“I spoke with one of the bandits who said my brother was fine. He said I should be ready to pay for feeding my brother since he was kidnapped,” Daily Post quoted Musa Abilewa as saying.
A convalescing relative of a kidnapped victim who said he was just discharged from hospital in Kaduna on Thursday, whose his only sister, who he simply identified as Ngozi, was among the abducted.
Confirming that the terrorists had contacted him, he said: “They called me while about to be discharged from hospital bed early morning on Wednesday. I spoke with my sister too, who said I should try all I could, to pay, if they demand for ransom.”
Continuing, he added: “Though I did not speak with my mother, my sister assured me she is fine,” he said.
Yet another family member, Yahaya Abdul, claimed that the terrorists called him and told him that his brother was doing well in their captivity and should expect their call for ransom.
