…Convener Akinola Ajayi says event, powered by The Citizens, is about Making Nigeria great again

What manner of leaders should Nigerians elect in next year’s general elections? What pathway should voters use their power to chart for the country at the polls in 2023? How can Nigeria optimize her potentials and claim her pride of place in the comity of nations?
Indeed, how can our Fatherland make the country alluring to its over 200 million people such that ‘japa’, the euphemism for ‘Andrew’ which in itself another name for brain drain, an unfortunate phenomenon that sees the country’s best brains leaving its borders in droves in search of greener pasture?
Questions. Plethora of questions. These and many more the Ambassadors of Christ International Ministry, Lagos, will address at his annual flagship independence leadership summit on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Yu-Dee Plaza, at Gowon Estate, in the nation’s commercial capital.
This year’s stanza of the annual independence anniversary summit has the broad theme: Nigeria Decides, 2023, with the focus: Get it right.
A release by the Convener, Dr. Akinola Ajayi, who is the Senior Pastor of Ambassadors of Christ International Ministry, listed the eminent speakers that would speak to the theme as including: Prof. Felix Adakole-Odike, Professor of Jurisprudence and International Law at the National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja; Chief Dare Babarinsa, co-founder of the wave-making news weekly, TELL magazine, now Chairman/Editor-in-Chief, Gaskia Media Limited, and Mr. Michael Ibrahim Magaji, a Kaduna-based Management and Development Consultant.
Speaking on the significance of the event, the Convener, Dr. Akinola Ajayi, said the programme, powered by The Citizens, is his organisation’s contribution to the concerted efforts geared towards helping Nigeria regain its bearing and soar like the eagle that God Almighty made it to be among the nations of the world.
“The task to make Nigeria great again,” said Dr. Ajayi, “is everybody’s business. It is the business of all Nigerians. God has given this country everything it needs to be truly great. God has done His bit. We must do ours too by joining hands to save the titanic.
“By the grace of God, this ship will not sink. We shall get it right. We shall get the right answer to the leadership question. Our country shall be great again. This is our little contribution towards achieving that goal. And we are confident our efforts shall never be in vain. So, we urge all Nigerians to join us in their numbers on the programme.”
