Abacha’s Daughter Divorces Governor Buni, Says, ‘I am Not Married’
The Yobe State First Lady, Gumsu Abacha, has announced her divorce from Governor Mai Mala Buni.
Gumsu, who is the daughter of the former Nigerian military dictator, the late General Sani Abacha, responded to a comment on her tweet that she was single.
According to the estranged wife in a tweet shared with her picture on the microblogging platform with the caption saying that she was emancipated and liberated.
She tweeted: “Emancipation…Liberation.”
Taking to the comment section, she was referred to as the first lady of Yobe state, but she said she was not married. She said: “I am not married.”
However, many Nigerians have reacted to the divorce hint of Governor Buni’s wife, Gumsu Abacha. Ayomide Soyinka simply asked for clarification, but Abacha did not respond.
He asked: “You are no more with Mai Mala Buni?”
Zaharaddeen Salisu Dansabo prayed that the daughter of the former head of state finds peace in her endeavours.
He wrote: ““Mai daki she kadai ya san inda yake masa yoyo” according to my Hausa people. Allah ya sa haka ne mafi alkhairi and may he ease your burden and give you everlasting peace of mind.”
