Oshiomhole lands in Nigeria, says: “My meeting with DSS was a conversation, not an arrest or detention
Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Comrade landed in Nigeria on Saturday.
Oshiomhole confirmed to journalists that he was indeed questioned by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) over the APC primaries before he left the country.
But as reported by the Cable, Oshiomhole said he “saw DSS only once and it was a conversation, not an arrest or detention”.
“The conversation centred around APC primaries. The question now is whether or not it is the DSS job to interfere in a political party’s issues. And if there’s an allegation of corruption, it is the responsibility of EFCC and ICPC.”
He also denied reports that the DSS asked him to return the next day.
Oshiomhole, as reported by TheCable, said he was billed to travel abroad on Monday but postponed the trip for a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
His encounter with DSS sent tongues wagging that he absconded. But he waved all that off.
