Former Konga CEO, Nick Imudia, Commits Suicide
A former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Konga, Nick Imudia, is reported to have committed suicide in his home by jumping from the balcony of his Lekki, Lagos apartment.
Nick was until his death the CEO of D.light, a company that specialises in the distribution and financing of residential solar energy solutions and transformational household products
Prior to his death, he had a prescient conversation with his brother in the US, in which he provided instructions on how to allocate his assets in the event of his passing, revealing a sense of foreboding.
Before his passing, Nick also had a heartfelt conversation with his young daughter from a previous relationship, reassuring her that he would always be present in her life.
He poignantly told her that whenever she gazed up at the sky, he would be watching over her. His loved ones, friends, and colleagues are now grappling with the news, struggling to understand what may have driven him to take his own life, as they remember him with fondness and shock.
Originally from Ika South local government area in Delta State, Nick had previously been married to his daughter’s mother, also from the same region. Unfortunately, their union ended in divorce due to irreconcilable differences.
Nick later found love again and remarried, this time to a woman of Caucasian descent, giving him a second chance at happiness.
Nick Imudia’s impressive career spanned various leadership roles, including Regional Director at TCL/Alcatel and General Manager/Managing Director for West and Central Africa at Microsoft Device and Services, before his stint at Konga.
His untimely passing has left a profound void in the lives of numerous individuals who appreciated his professional accomplishments, admired his strength and resilience, and cherished his presence
