Train Crushes Man, 50, in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of a 50-year-old man who was crushed by a train in the Oshodi area of Lagos.
The man, simply identified as Emmanuel, crushed at a point near the popular Arena Shopping Mall in Oshodi.
In a statement, Benjamin Hundeyin, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Lagos State Command, confirmed that the Mosafejo Division of the command was informed about the tragedy at about 1:33 p.m., adding that the police immediately dispatched a team of detectives to the scene.
“The scene was visited and photographed by a team of detectives,” Hundeyin said, adding, “The corpse was evacuated to a public morgue for autopsy.”
Hundeyin said the police has launched an investigation into the tragedy.
