Okpebholo appoints Fred Itua as Chief Press Secretary
Ahead of his inauguration as Edo State Governor, Tuesday, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has made his first appointment.
He has picked Fred Itua as his Chief Press Secretary.
The Governor-elect’s media team made the announcement in Abuja on Monday.
Okpebholo will take over from the outgoing Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, whose second term ends effectively at 12 midnight on Monday.
Itua, who previously worked with Leadership and The Sun newspapers respectively will lead the Gnew overnor’s media team when he takes office tomorrow.
Itua holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, a Master’s degree in Media Arts from the University of Abuja, and is in the final stages of his PhD thesis in Development Communication at Veritas University, Abuja.
With extensive experience covering the National Assembly, migration issues, health, anti-corruption, and environmental concerns, Itua brings deep insight into national and international affairs.
