Buhari’s Body arrives Katsina, en route Daura

The earthly remains of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari have returned to the land of his birth, Katsina State, preparatory to his burial at Daura this afternoon.
The presidential jet, Air Force 1, bearing the body of the late President arrived Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport at 1.59p.m., accompanied by former First Lady, Aisha Buhari, other Family members, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and others.
Grieving Aisha, dressed in all-black, was held by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and other women.
The Chief mourner, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had arrived the airport ten minutes earlier, just on time to receive the body.
Several VVIPs were also at the airport to help the President in the onerous task.
They included former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umar Radda, and others.
At exactly 2.25p.m. the body, draped in the national flag, was professionally retrieved by senior military officers, not from the cargo haul of the plane but from the cabin in a manner dignified manner.
After a brief airport ceremony, the body was put in an ambulance at 2.42p.m. to begin the short trip to Daura.
